VIKTOR'S PORTFOLIO
DRAWINGS

When I first started drawing these characters it started with me having dreams and visions of these characters and compositions. I would wake up think about them and keep seeing them blip into my head making me visualize them. When it was about time to go to sleep I would start playing music that reminded me of the composition and started drawing on my book. I started to really enjoy making these faces and these drawings because of how they made me feel and it was a way to express myself. I also liked the drawings because they had a personal story to them but it was also open to interpretation and has many meanings and stories depending on how you feel. I wanted to make them come to life and include color so I took my sister's iPad which had procreate and I started to trace the drawings and add color and more shape and detail.
Abstract experimental drawings
These drawings were a way for me to experiment in different styles but contain my signature touch. My signature in all my drawings is the eye bags and sketchy line outline. I was heavily inspired by Picasso and Joan Miro. The use of colors and shapes, textures, and composition gave the drawings an abstract look. Again these drawings also hold a lot of meaning and story. It is a way for me to have something to think about when looking at the drawings. I hold the meaning and expression in my drawings that some people can see but others can't. Experimenting made me realize that I could do other styles and that I should keep expanding my styles.
Iphone backround
This little project started with me drawing these eyes and putting them on my wall because I liked the eyes. I tried using a more details technique for the eyes. As I was tracing the eyes I wanted the eyes to be connected to something so I decided to make a weird alien blob with big lips. Big lips are also one of the signature parts of my drawings. I tried out different ways to shape the mouth and teeth but I didn't like the straight teeth so I decided to include some buildings as teeth. You can see the Eiffel Tower, the Museum of the Future, the tower I used to live in, and other random buildings. After I drew it I decided to make them one color only to make monochromatic drawings. I changed the shade of the colors. I decided to try different color combinations including bright colors, muted colors, and normal tone colors. I added these drawings to my home screen and every time I tap the screen the colors change which I think looks pretty.
Personal Drawings
These are my personal drawings that mean a lot to me. I use the software Procreate to make my illustrations and have a unique style. What makes something my style is the faces but also the way I draw and outline. The asthetic of the drawing and the composition also play a role in my distinct style. the reason they mean so much to me is because each drawing tells a story and is somehow connected. The red hands appear often in my drawings and other works. I chose to use red hands because to me it holds a symbol and meaning. To me the red hands represent pain. Not pain to yourself but pain to others. A fingerprint of all the times you have delt pain to others because of your hands. When i mean pain to others I mean anything. Why do we think we only feel pain ? In every plave Ive included the red hand
Water color brush experimentation
These drawings are experimentations of using a watercolor brush and a new silhouette or style. My style is still clearly there, the use of eye bags and sketchy type drawings is my signature when it comes to these drawings. Initially, I was inspired by a drawing. In this drawing, they used watercolor but also highlighted feminine aspects like the big-shaped lips, the blush, and the long lashes. I decided to take that inspiration and try to create something similar. As I was playing around with the face I always started drawing drawing the eyes mouth and nose and working around that. The solid color drawings were an accident. I selected the erase button and it gave the drawing a cool creepy retro poster texture. This drawing represents overcoming old traumas but also letting them eat you away. The meaning behind this drawing is dark but to me, it's not. The woman looks like they have been through things but she is still pretty and not letting herself go. The solid color drawings represent what they feel inside and them looking back at their trauma.
Calendar Covers For Client
I was asked to create a custom calendar for a client due to them liking my style. I asked for specifications and what elements would she want me to include. She said to include a recognizable image that represents the months. For example, for February I included heart-shaped balloons to represent Valentine's Day, for easter, I included a rabbit and for September I included yellow and orange leaves because autumn starts during September. She also said to include some personal images that would remind her of the month. I decided to include a picture of them playing poker since she learned to play poker in March and she has loved it ever since. I also drew a money bill with the St. Basil's Cathedral in the background since she is from Russia. I was sure to ask for a deadline and I managed to finish all 12 drawings in time and got paid 200 Singapore Dollars. After sending her to images I asked if there was anything she would want me to change or fix and she did want some things fixed like the cards and some of the colors so I did. I made sure to make my client happy and did what she asked.

This is the mood board I presented my client with.
