Problems
Video 15-23
What problems have you run into?
When planning my music video I contemplated whether I would have enough time to do all the work I claimed I would do. Including a fashion project in the video is a big goal for me as it will help me with my portfolio and I have already gone far into the research of my fashion project relating to the concept of my music video. I have purposefully made my music video simple with the plan of having the characters and costumes the main focus to share the story and character in the music video in more depth, as well as the message behind it. I am worried I won't have enough time to create the 2 outfits and the 2 masks on top of all the other music videos.
What difficulties have you had?
I've been distracted by the planning of my music videos and stowed away some of the more important work. I have to stay organized and set myself a checklist of when I will be doing things, and how much time I should spend on it, and give myself deadlines before the due date to ensure I have enough time.

What problems have you run into?
When doing my test shots and using the green screen I realized that the green screen would only work if I cut off my actor legs from the frame.
What difficulties have you had?
This problem affects the quality of my video and makes the characters look weird as half of their legs are cut off.
How have you solved some of your problems?
I have solved this problem by getting a large piece of green screen fabric and placing it on the floor to have the full body in the green screen. this has also allowed me to experiment with more angles which I couldn't do before due to the floor not being green.
How WILL you solve some of your future problems?
When encountering more problems I will solve them by using the resources I have and applying them to my problem to solve it
Video 5-9
What problems have you run into?
In my music video, I am planning to make a puppet stage and puppets to be the characters in my music video. I will also be featuring an actor of the age 5-9 and film him with a teddy bear to imitate the puppets. One problem I have run into is that I don't know if I will be able to make a fake stage for the puppets, I will most likely have to use a green screen. Using green screens will make the video look cheaper and won't have the same effect as using a real puppet stage.
What difficulties have you had?
I have difficulties in how to create a stage for my puppet scene. I am also having difficulties planning how the puppets will look and how can i make them look like the child actor. What materials am I going to use? what puppet style? Etc...
How have you solved some of your problems?
I have solved my problem by brainstorming ideas of how I could use my current skills to create the stage. I figured I could use a cardboard box and create a mock-up of the stage to see if it would work when filming. It did work and I am not planning to make a more detailed and better-looking stage for my music video and making the puppets.
How WILL you solve some of your future problems?
In the future, instead of panicking I will try out some possible solutions and determine whether it works or not. I will also plan out what my problem is, brainstorm solutions, and go more in-depth about how the solution will work.

How to make parade mask
The video provides information on how to make a Venetian Mask. They use a technique called paper mache which involves the process of soaking paper in glue and applying it on a mold or on an object in order to create a solid structure once it is dry. I've used paper mache before but I never thought of using card paper. Instead, I have used newspaper and tissue paper. Using card paper would help with creating a stiff and stable mask if making large shapes.

Looking at the shots used in this scene from the pink panther. The scene consists of close-up shots of the face and the people around him (couples). I also like the title of the director in the beginning, Instead of adding the director's name maybe including the title. The speed and slouch in the Panther's walk is something I also admire. The scene is also greyer than usual pink panther episodes. Making the scene darker evokes a sad emotion.

At what age do people start to feel insecure ?
djdjdjd

The Heart-shaped locket was the foundation of this concept. I observed that when people kiss they somewhat create the shape of a heart and at the same time intertwine as they stack their lips on each other forming this intimate connection between the two people. The heart shaped locket reflects that action as both halves align to form the symbol of love.
Developing deeper into this concept I wanted to delve into insecurities and creating these two characters who have the shape of half a heart to directly represent love when "kissing". I was focusing on insecurities as the song Love Me Do is about a plea for love. I've known many people who blamed themselves or their looks for the reason they haven't found love and don't think they are worthy of love based on their looks. My idea of creating these strange characters was a way of expressing the struggles of insecurities. A popular phrase you look like a Picasso has been used to describe someone as unconventional to beauty norms and disproportionate. because of Picasso style . I personally find Picasso work to be uniquely beautiful which lead me to the intention of creating these face masks with unconventional beauty. I used Picasso as inspiration when it comes to the shapes, and loo
This skin-like texture intrigued me and I mixed insects with it to create this image. The layers are what captivated me the most and the roundness.

These skin creases create an interesting texture that could possibly be turned into a textile. Pleats but 3D and round to replicate fat folds or ecess skin. I did an observation on the textures of the face using larvae and mold.

Started to introduce ways I could represent these insecurities and textures in a design by experimenting with shape to visually show the and odd yet intriguing textures and sillouettes. presenting marylin Monroe and barbie in this page was done to express that insecurities and anomalies dont make you undesireable. Using some of the "perfect" women and manipulating their looks opens a box of ideas as I still see so much beauty in them especially with the changes made to them.

In This page focuses on women's insecurities. I observed many of women's insecurities such as stretch marks, body weight, wrinkles, body hair and proportions. When investigating stretch marks i found an uncanny resemblance to zebra prints as they have similar line patterns. I can use this research to later on develop my costume and include zebra prints in order to represent stretch marks. Im taking these insecurities and turning them into a beautiful fashion garment. Many people tend to see these parts of themselves as flaws but my intention for this garment is to show the unconventional beauty of these insecurities. Texture of draping skin is also a possible textile I plan on developing further.

When researching about the backstory of love me do i came across the muse of the song "Iris caldwell. She met young paul while performing a syncronised dance with large layered dresses also know as cacan. This made me want to incorporate elements of the can can dresses unto the insecurities to pay homage to pauls ex and her dancing.

Can can dancing involves a lot of movement and the dresses give the entire dance more movement and harmony. As cancan involves pulling the dress up to reveal the layers under I had some ideas of creating the dress pre lifted to have the layers revealed when worn. Looking at the details of the dress I saw a connection with the textures and it reminded me of the draped wrinkled skin. This will be my approach to incorporating the insecurities in my project. Picking elements that would harmonise the elegant can can dress with the feared insecurities women have, in order to embrace them and seeing these insecurities in a beautiful perspective.

While these are not can can dresses they evoke this class which i want to incorporate in my project. The use of rich and shiny fabrics will highlight the insecurities I'm trying to portray but also shed light to them and beautify them. The drama these pieces have and confidence they exude is what i need for this dress as many women confidence lowers as they find more parts about them they find flawed and start to feel undesrving of love. I want to have these insecurities turned into confidence and elegance.

Uncovering the layers of this concept I felt as though it would tie in perfectly to add these skin rolls to the frills of the can can dress as it would add an interesting texture to the dress.

Another big part of can can dancing is the stockings and gloves. Going back into the body hair insecurity i wanted to embrace the body hair by creating a glove and stockings with long hairs sewn into the mesh articles. Having the long hairs lined and sewn into the mesh fabrics would create interesting textures and a captivating pattern with the hairs.

I researched paul mccartneys style and what type of clothing he is often seen wearing. I came to the conclusion that he is seen many times wearing a blazer a shirt or t-shirt with long pants or jeans. He also likes to include a pop of color in his outfits akin to the light blue tie. Taking this information I will be decontrusing his suit and adding layers of insecurities in ways that would look empowering and desireable

I drew innitial pictures of what the faces would look like. I used these ranges of colors to show what types of textures I will want to incorporate into the masks. I want the masks to be distinctively another person but still create that connection between the two. I will have to research more and focus on making the woman mask look more feminine. I also researched into the construction of the mask which i will use wire and paper mache technique similarly to how the italians create their parade masks. The initial sketch of the men's look gave me an idea to add extremely long sleeves to represent struggle and the burden he feels and has to carry when focused on his insecurities. His eegerneess and desire for love is slowly giving up as he doesn't feel worthy of love. The large back is a representation of posture.

Starting to develop the mask and looking into what areas i could focus on to tie all my research together to make the final mask for the woman. I really liked the textures on the woman neck and the previous mold and insect texture as people tend to like tight and smooth skin. Big noses are also big insecurties that lies within women and these heart shaped faces will symbolise this perfectly.

PRODUCTION PROPOSAL
TITLE & GENRE(S) :
"Beautiful Faces Fall In Love"
Concept and storytelling

WRITER’S NAME:
Viktor Fedorov Anglada
SYNOPSIS – OUTLINE THE ELEMENTS OF VIDEO

A man with a facial deformity seeks love to "Love Me Do," facing rejection from passersby. Simultaneously, a confident woman, also with a facial deformity, struts with self-assurance. The climax comes when the man, feeling an instant connection, finds love in the woman who shares his struggles. The video concludes with their faces aligning like a heart locket, symbolizing unity and completion.
• U.S.P - STRATEGY

My strategy in this music video is to create an odd yet compelling narrative that many of my target audience could relate to as it covers topics of self-esteem, love, and insecurities. The use of masks will create an immersive and bizarre visual due to the faces being the shape of 2 halves of hearts and will have interesting textures as well as costumes paying homage to paul mccartny and iris caldwell. I will be making a suit for pauls character and a can can inspired dress for the female character. The costumes will feature men and womens insecurities but presented in a fashionable context. For the men's body I will manipulate the posture as its one of men's insecurities. The womans look I will focus on about 2 characters

• HOW YOU’VE USED THE ASSIGNMENT BRIEF

• USE OF WORDS / LANGUAGE / TEXT – (TITLES?)
Ive decided not to include dialogue or text in my music video in order to follow the traditional music video conventions. I want the video to speak for itself and be able to tell the story and present my concept visually rather than having to contextually explain the plot and meaning. This will push me to make the storyline even clearer.
• STYLES / CONVENTIONS/TECHNIQUES

Interpreting the music:
As my characters walk, their movements will be synchronized with the music. The camera angles and shots will play an important role in interpreting the music, especially during the second verse, where I plan to create a long tracking shot for the long 'please' in the second verse 'So please, love me do, Whoa, love me do.' This elongated 'please' gives a dragging feeling, and I intend to visually show this with the costumes as I plan to have the male character have these extremely long sleeves to further express the message of despair and being tired of feeling alone. I will also interpret the music through the type of walk the actors will portray. I Envision a slow, cowboy-esque walk, I aim to capture the essence of the song, which incorporates instruments and riffs commonly found in old western tunes, particularly with the use of the harmonica."

Allusion (to something or someone) :

Cutting to beat :

Multi-image : In my music video, I will incorporate a split screen to visually represent the two characters experiencing similar issues, alluding to their connection and showcasing the differing perspectives of both individuals. I've employed this technique to suggest that both characters will eventually meet and to provide depth to the concept of the heart charms, with each piece being individual in the split screen. This approach may help viewers understand why the characters' heads have such a peculiar shape. The split-screen technique also allows for innovative compositions, creating a cinematographic scene that adds richness to the visual narrative.

Camera angles : The use of the different camera angles will be meticulasly focused in order to convey the emotions of the characters and their journey to find love and their struggles. Ill be using long shots to express the feeling of the character being alone and unwanted due to their looks. I will also use close up shots to show the insecurties but to show to the audience the unconventional parts that i find pretty. tilted angles will also be used toto enhance a disorienting or uneasy feeling in a scene.

Narrative :

Homage :

In this music video, I am paying homage to Paul McCartney and his ex-girlfriend, Iris Caldwell, who was as the muse for the song "Love Me Do." My homage involves creating costumes inspired by Paul's iconic suits and style, as well as Iris Caldwell's can-can dancing dress with stockings and a layered skirt.
The reason for this homage is rooted in the fact that Paul McCartney met Iris Caldwell while she was performing the can-can, a dance form that involves high kicking while holding up the front of a full ruffled skirt.
To further accentuate the homage, I will include a reference to 'Abbey Road' by filming a side shot of the male character walking in a crosswalk, paying tribute to the famous Beatles album cover. The primary focus of the homage will be in the costumes, each mirroring the iconic styles associated with Paul McCartney and Iris Caldwell, as well as their story as I will make the male character spot the female character to stay accurate to how they met.

Impressionist:

Surrealist :

In my music video, I'm embracing surrealism through both the costumes and the faces. I'll be creating masks that, when aligned, form the shape of a heart. These faces will show peculiar textures and shapes, purposely staying away from realistic faces. Despite their odd looks, the intention is to convey a deep narrative addressing insecurities and self-image. While the storyline stays somewhat realistic, the surrealist elements, especially in the faces, aim to stimulate a deeper level of interpretation. By using surrealism, I'm inviting the audience to interpret it their own way from the visual narrative rather than explicitly conveying my message.
• MISE-EN-SCENE – INCLUDING OBJECT / COLOUR CONNOTATIONS

The color connotations in the music video "Butterfly's Love Friends" play a crucial role in conveying emotions and themes. Vibrant colors evoke joy and playfulness, pastel hues contribute to innocence and dreaminess, earth tones ground the scenes in nature, bright whites highlight purity, animated bee characters use black and yellow to symbolize challenges

During the music video, background characters will be incorporated while the main characters are walking. This addition serves to create a more dynamic and populated environment, adding depth to the scenes and enhancing the visual storytelling. The background characters contribute to the overall mise-en-scène, enriching the narrative with diverse elements that complement the main characters' journey.
• EDITING / POST-PRODUCTION

In the post-production phase, careful editing will be undertaken to seamlessly integrate the background characters into the scenes. This involves adjusting lighting, shadows, and perspectives to ensure a cohesive visual presentation. Additionally, post-production efforts will focus on maintaining a consistent color palette, enhancing the enchanting and vibrant atmosphere of the video. Special attention will be given to transitions and effects to create a smooth and polished final product.

SYNOPSIS – OUTLINE THE ELEMENTS OF video

In a dreamlike and vibrant environment, the music video opens with two butterfly characters, immersed in a lively and colorful garden. They fly, dance, and hop from one flower to another. The harmonica begins to play, and the butterflies seamlessly transition into an easy and catchy dance, their movements synchronized. As the butterflies explore the whimsical garden, they encounter a magical flower. Curiosity gets the better of them, and they jump into it, instantly growing to human size. Undeterred, the giant butterfly friends continue their exploration, now dancing among the leaves. The harmonica's playful notes set the backdrop for the butterflies' journey of friendship. They engage in heartwarming activities, helping each other navigate the oversized space, sharing laughter, playing games, and protecting one another from animated bee characters, symbolizing challenges and dangers. The dance sequences, perfectly in tune with the harmonica melody, reflect the seamless connection between the two characters. As the music video concludes, the butterflies, having experienced the highs and lows of their journey, hug and wave goodbye to the bees.

I will be applying backgrounds to the green screen for half of the music video. To create the illusion of the actors actually being in the flowers i will have to align their movements with the setting. To make the butterflies fly I will have to add tracking and change the position every 0.3 seconds in order for the flying to be smooth, i will additionally have to change the size of the actors while flying to make the movement realistic. As the character is flying tit will get closer

TITLE & GENRE(S) : "My Lovely Teddy Bear" (Music video)

WRITER’S NAME: Viktor Fedorov Anglada
SYNOPSIS – OUTLINE THE ELEMENTS OF THE MUSIC VIDEO

In the magical world of our "Love Me Do" puppetry tale, the curtains open to reveal a joyful puppet dancing on stage. Soon, a teddy bear puppet joins in, and together, they dance in harmony. Throughout the playful scenes, we see shots of a real child hugging their teddy bear, making a sweet connection between the puppetry and real life. Another puppet, representing a child, enters the stage, and they all engage in playful activities, mirroring the joyful moments of childhood. The puppets form a group and dance together, echoing the theme of love from the song. As the tale concludes, the curtains gently close, leaving behind a heartwarming story of the special bond between a child and their teddy bear, perfectly suited for our 5-9 age audience.

• U.S.P - STRATEGY

My use of puppetry in my music video
• HOW YOU’VE USED THE ASSIGNMENT BRIEF

I've used the assignment brief as I've proposed a music video using the Beatles song "Love me do" from the "1" album featuring all of the Beatles number 1 hits. I have taken into consideration the age of my target audience and done research to make my music video appropriate and enjoyable for the audience of 5-9-year-olds. The use of puppetry and having a narrative based on the connection of a child and their teddy bear is relatable to my target audience as they most likely have or had a plush toy that they were attached to. Using puppetry is also an engaging and creative way of telling my narrative.
• USE OF WORDS / LANGUAGE / TEXT – (TITLES?)
The only text that will be seen in my music video will be in the beginning with the title of the story and in the ending I will include "The End" to conclude the video and to pay homage to old movies. Ive not used any language or text as 5-6 year olds might not be able to read or they are just starting.

• STYLES / CONVENTIONS/TECHNIQUES

Dance Routines

In this music video, I will include a simple dance routine inspired by the style often seen in children's music videos, where visuals and dance numbers are straightforward and easy to follow. Drawing inspiration from shows like Barney & Friends, which incorporate dances based on song lyrics or actions, and recalling a childhood song that featured a hand dance, I've decided to create a dance routine that involves only hands.
In the video, both puppets and a child character will engage in the dance, aiming to captivate my target audience, encouraging them to mimic the dance steps. The dance routine will be strategically placed during instrumental breaks in the song, particularly when the harmonica riffs play. This choice not only adds a catchy and enjoyable element to the video but also provides a designated time for the characters and viewers to dance without extending the routine for too long.
This approach is designed to enhance audience engagement, especially with younger viewers who may find joy in replicating the hand dance, reminiscent of childhood songs and shows.

Cross-medium theater:

The music video will incorporate mixed media, combining puppetry and real-life elements. The use of puppets will serve to craft a fictional narrative that enhances the portrayal of the bond between a child and its teddy bear. Seamlessly transitioning between scenes featuring puppets and those with human actors will enable viewers to perceive a meaningful connection between both mediums. Utilizing puppetry holds the potential to resonate strongly with my target audience, fostering a metaphorical narrative between the two characters. A child's relationship with their teddy bear, often perceiving it as alive, can be effectively brought to life through puppetry, allowing for dynamic interactions between the child puppet and the animated teddy bear.

Interpreting the music :
The puppets and actors will dance to the beat of the song and move with the rhythm of the music. The sound of the song is a bit slow so I will make the dance and overall production of the video fit with the speed of the song.

Cutting to beat :

Using this technique will enable smooth transitions between scenes, ensuring that the cuts align with the rhythm of the music. This technique enhances the overall video production, creating a cleaner and more seamless flow. Synchronizing of visual cuts with the music will make a dynamic and engaging music video for my target audience.

Effects:

I will use the special effects provided in the app cap cut. I am considering using a retro, grainy, vibrant filter in the puppet scenes to pay homage to the camera quality and style of the 60s and 70s. Enhancing the vibrancy in films was commonly used as a stylistic choice, and vibrant colors in films were especially prominent during this time. Before that era, films were primarily filmed in black and white, so the introduction of vibrant colors was enjoyable as many didn't see color in tv and it was fashionable to use vibrant colors. Puppets, being an old style of entertainment, give me a perfect chance to evoke the nostalgia of this period in the puppet scene.
I will also adjust some settings when filming with the actual actor to fit the vibrant aesthetic, and to make the scene look more engaging and pretty.

Camera movements: While filming the puppet scene there will be no camera movement as I want to just have the stage present with the puppets moving like in kids puppet shows. When filming the actor I will be tracking the actor and the teddy bear. I will also have the camera move from a long shot to a close-up to symbolise the connection the child has with the teddy bear and interpret the lyrics of "love" I will also be spinning around the actor to evoke a euphoric feeling of happiness when the child is with its teddy bear. There will also be scenes where the camera will be stationary like in the puppet scenes to seamlessly transition the puppets with the actor.

Camera angles :

In the puppet scenes, the angles will remain stationary, as I need to keep the puppet stage consistently in frame from the front to maintain the illusion of a puppet show. When filming the real-life actors, I will incorporate over-the-shoulder shots while she is holding the bear up like in the scene in "The Lion King" and close-up shots to evoke the connection and love between the child and the teddy bear. This approach allows the audience to intimately witness the emotions on the actors' faces and creates a sense of a loving atmosphere. I will also use wide shots to emphasize that the two characters are all they need, strengthening their bond. The wide shot will illustrate the deep connection between the two characters.

• MISE-EN-SCENE – INCLUDING OBJECT / COLOUR CONNOTATIONS

The music video will start with theater curtains opening revealing the stage. I will be using a green screen template video of curtains opening and ending the music video with the curtains closing to signify the end of the show/video as ive taken inspiration from theater and puppet shows.

The puppet stage will have a hand-drawn background with clouds and trees. Around the stage, there will be trees and animals to make the stage more immersive and come to life. I will use a cardboard box to make the stage shape and paint and decorate it. I will add fabric and drape them on the corners to make it resemble a stage. Using vibrant and green colors for the stage will appeal to my young target audience according to my research.

I also will make puppets out of material resembling the large teddy bear and the actor in the real-life scenes. Keeping the puppets simple but clear that the actor is supposed to represent the puppet and likewise for the bear.
• EDITING / POST-PRODUCTION
The music video will start with theater curtains opening revealing the stage. I will be using a green screen template video of curtains opening and ending the music video with the curtains closing to signify the end of the show/video as ive taken inspiration from theater and puppet shows.

Syncing the music with the shots and cutting on beat.

I will have to also add the 60/70's grainy retro filter for the puppet scene and adjust the lighting and vibrancy of the live action scene to make the full video follow a cohesive aesthetic when it comes to color and cinematography

I will use transition templates to seamlessly transition from the puppet scene to the live action scene. Using a blurr effect or changing the opacity of the video to move from one scene to another. When transitioning for the first time I will have the actor and bear be in the same position as the puppets. Possibly filming in the auditorium could be a good way to transition the puppet stage to the real stage.

CONSUMER PROFILE (TARGET AUDIENCE) WHO THE VIDEO APPEALS TO AND HOW…

My target audience is 5-9. I have a lot of research supporting that kids of this age will enjoy my video as it includes a narrative of a teddy bear and a child which the target could relate to since in this age most children have teddy bears and have deep connections with them. The use of puppetry is also an engaging visual that kids of this age would find entertaining and fun to look at. The simple hand dance is also an engaging way for the child to maybe try and learn the dance and dance along with the video. The editing and video will be simple as kids this age might not understand complicated concepts so it is important for the video to be straight forward. Using puppets that resemble the actor will be easy for the target to pick up on.

The video caters to the niche of 5-9-year-olds, addressing their interests and engagement levels. The incorporation of puppetry taps into their imaginative and playful nature. The overall appeal is geared towards a mass market of children who share a common connection with their teddy bears.

HOW THE ELEMENTS (ABOVE) OF THE MUSIC VIDEO APPEAL TO THE TARGET AUDIENCE

the music video's appeal to 5-9-year-olds is carefully crafted through a combination of interactive dance routines, imaginative storytelling using puppetry and real-life scenes, synchronization of movements with the music, rhythmic editing, visually stimulating effects, varied camera techniques, and a vibrant mise-en-scène. These elements collectively create an entertaining and age-appropriate experience that aligns with the developmental stage, preferences, and energy levels of the target audience. The simplicity, relatable themes, and incorporation of familiar objects, such as teddy bears, contribute to the overall charm and engagement, ensuring that the music video resonates positively with young viewers aged 5 to 9.

Having the actor walk to the beat of the song. Use a ring light with different settings to have warm or cool lighting. I also will change some of the filter settings by adding more exposure and making the scene look more dreamlike and fantasy and vibrant.
Intention :
I was experimenting with different angles and perspectives in order to make it look like one of the butterflies is further away from the other and they are waving at eachother. I added the green screen on the floor
Technical detail:
Over the shoulder shot medium close up to shoulder.
Green screen was added on the floor to allow the full body to be included in the shot without parts being cut off.
Evaluation :
I will animate and make gifs of bees so that they have some movement and aren't just stationary. I will make the wings move up and down and have 2 versions of the bees ( one with angry faces and the other with nutral) Doing this would make the bees look better and smoother. Having the bees animated one by one will also make the scene look better as it wont be the same bees moving at the same speed and crowd. I also will direct the actors to interact with the fake bees and make the fighting look more realistic.
Intention
I was experimenting with how I would animate the bees into my video. I used drawings of bees and animated them using tracking on capcut. My intention was to make the bees look like they were attacking and the butterflies are fighting back. Th
Technical detail:
I used minal tracking movement dots which makes it move less and doesnt look natural and its acting more in a line but with more track movement It would be smoother. I will also try changing the size to show that the bees are getting closer to the camera.
Evaluation :
Once again the green screen did not have a floor so the legs had to be cut off which ruins the shot of the characters jumping. I will also need to use a tripod to stablelize the camera.
Intention
Wanted to film a shot where the butterflies are jumping on the flowers and interacting with the green screen instead of it just being a backround.
Technical detail:
Wide long shot in order to show the audeince the scenery and the scale of the setting to show how small the butterflies are to imerse the audeince in the flower garden. Wide shot allows me to compose the shot of the two butterflies to show that they are alone and have to help eachother.
Evaluation : I like the background moving, I think I will include moving backgrounds in all my shots while using the green screen unless some of the videos have too much movement. I also want to smoothen the way they fly and slow it down as they move fast which is accurate to how butterflies travel but for the viewer's enjoyment, I think I will slow it down. When the butterflies are on the flower in the end I want the zoom-in to be a bit smoother and seamlessly transition to the dancing scene. Also while flying maybe have a close-up of them flying together. filming them from side angles or having them move from side angles to front angles will also make the video look better and make them look like they are changing positions rather than facing the front.
Intention :
My intention was to use a video as the green screen to make the scene look more lively and interactive, rather than the backround being still. I experimented with the flying effect and changing the scale to make the butterflies look like they are flying closer and further from the camera. This shot was inspired by footage of butterflies in a garden. in the end i made them very small and zoomed into the flower which will be used as a transition to the next scene of them dancing on the same flower.
Technical detail:
Changing the scale and positon of the actors made the flying look more realistic rather than the actors staying the same size and flying up down and side to side. The video added to the backround is much better than a still photo. I used a long shot and wide angle to replicate the butterfly in a garden footage. Filming this was simple as I only had to film the actors waving their hands up and down and horizontally as the body will be cut out.
Evaluation : When filming the final I will try to fix the lighting and pay attention to where the light comes from in the picture i will use it as the backdrop in the green screen. Use a ring light with different settings to have warm or cool lighting. I also will change some of the filter settings by adding more exposure and making the scene look more dreamlike and fantasy and vibrant.
Intention: end of transition from flying butterfly scene to scene of butterflys dancing. I change the image of the flower because in the scene with the butterflys flying they land on a daisy flower.
Technical detail:
Full body is on the flower, dancing scenes cut to create a montage and present snippets of them having fun and being happy. Representing time passing. Used a long shot to show full flower and body.
Evaluation :
Evaluation : Next time I plan to add green screen on the floor in order to film the entire body without seeing the floor and green screen flaws. I will also put my phone on the tripod so that the camera stays still and films a better shot that doesnt break the illusion of this being a green screen as much
Intention :
I was experimenting with different angles and perspectives in order to make it look like one of the butterflies is further away from the other .
Technical detail:
I used the green screen in order to film this scene. I filmed the actors seperately and horizontally as the angle wouldnt matter because the backround will be removed. The camera was not set on a tripod which is why it looks like the actor is hovering. I filmed an over the shoulder medium shot and a long shot. I made the male actor even smaller when editing and shifted where he stood on the flower.
Evaluation :
I will animate and make gifs of bees so that they have some movement and arent just stationary. I will make the wings move up and down and have 2 versions of the bees ( one with angry faces and the other with nutral) Doing this would make the bees look better and smoother. I used minal tracking movement dots which makes it move less and doesnt look natural and its acting more in a line but with more track movement It would be smoother. I will also try changing the size to show that the bees are getting closer to the camera.
Evaluation : I will have to edit each video to match the lighting and color in the background because the lighting is still not seamless and the actors don't look like they are in the plants. I also will have to close all the blinds and block out any light that isn't controlled so I can manually adjust where the light comes from to fit with the light position in the background. I also will want to add another shot by zooming in to get a close-up of the actors' faces. Having a tripod will also be necessary as the camera moves making the actors hover and move while on the flower
Intention :
I intended to refilm the shot of the butterflies jumping on the flower.
Technical detail:
Adding the green screen on the floor allowed me to film below the knees which improved the quality and the illusion of shot.
using a still long shot helped to show the scale of the actors and to make them as small as butterflies. I added a ring light to make the video have the same lighting position as the image.

Evaluation: I will want the spinning to be a little bit faster and have the actor react to the spinning as in this test shot he is emotionless. I want to evoke a little bit of fear into the character. I like the background of used, it reminds me of my colorful editing technique seen in my "Touch, Texture, Everything" Video. I think using the photo below will add my personal touch to the music video and will create an irregular magical flower. Also zooming into the face and seeing it spin like a head in a washing machine could possibly be used as a transition to another scene like an illusion spiral.
Intention :
I wanted to create the scene where the butterflies are flying into the odd flower and getting sucked in which will transition into the next scene where the butterflies will be human size. I inteded to make the butterfly spin and shrink into the flower, slighty inspired by alice in the wonderland in the scene where she falls into the tree
Technical detail:
Medium still long shot. I used the tracking technique by manually changing the size and position in every frame to create that smooth shrinking and spiining shot to give the illusuion that the character is being sucked into the flower.

Evaluation : I think this test shot looked good. The curtain animation also wasn't bad but I think there are better curtain openings out there, The quality of the curtain doesn't fully match the puppet's video quality.
Intention
My intention was to add a video of a theater curtain opening to reveal the puppets in order to make the scene look more accurate to puppet shows and make the audience connect these curtains to theater or plays before seeing anything.
Technical detail:
Long establishing shot in the frame showing the outline of the stage. Downloaded a noncopy written green screen effect from YouTube of a theater curtain opening, and removed the background to reveal the puppet stage.
Evaluation : When filming with the real puppets it will be important for me to not make certain gestures that could be seen as inappropriate such as the kissing even though the intention was to make it look like they were hugging. Adding more cuts of them showing affection is also something that I want to add including close-ups of their face to later transition to the real-life scene using a fade.
Intention :
Making the puppets mirror what the actor will be doing, whihc includes hugging the bear, holding it against her face, physical acts of affection.
Technical detail:
long shot keeping stage in frame, having puppets come up from the stage. Fast paste eddting in this scene to make it seem as they are playing and enjoying eachothers company and evoke a feeling of time passing by.
Evaluation : I like this effect, I could possibly use it to transition from the puppet scene to the live action or vice versa.
Intention
Making the scene look like its capturing the wonderfull memories of joy by adding a photo shutter effect. The black and white images represent the past and memories as black and white is in the past and they hold a lot of memories in this current day.
Technical detail:
Using cap cut effect template to add this effect.
Evaluation : I think this test shot looked good. The curtain animation also wasn't bad but I think there are better curtain openings out there, The quality of the curtain doesn't fully match the puppet's video quality.
Intention
Same intention but closing the curtains to signify the end of the music video or end of the puppet show.
I Made the puppets bow as actors and puppets do in shows before closing the curtains
Technical detail:
Long shot in the frame with the stage showing the outline of the stage. I Downloaded a noncopy written green screen effect from YouTube of a theater curtain opening and removed the background to reveal the puppet stage.
Evaluation : I think the idea is good but the template is very blurry and doesn't make the video look good. The kids also might not understand the purpose of this shot as they might not know about film videos so it would mean nothing to them confusing them slightly.

Intention
Using this effect to transition into different scenes as i also want to pay homage to the era of the beeatles where film was used. It creates a window for me to easily transition from one scene to another without having to focus too much on making it seemless as it does it for me.
Technical detail:
Used a special effect template on capcut.
Evaluation: I like this shot. I plan to do this shot again but using the plush bear instead of the wreck it Ralph. I like this green location as it looks like the stage with the green and blue sky.
Intention
I intended to do a simba moment with the pose as its a way to show love by carrying the bear up
Technical detail
I di d a medium long shot tracking the plush toy over the shoulder of the child actor.
Evaluation : I like this shot as it shows a connection between the two characters. I could make the scene look more vibrant to appeal to the target audience.
Intention
Track shot, zoom into plush and out to show the child, the shot creates a connection between the two "characters" Showing how close they are through the close up
Technical detail:
i held my camera tight and stabilised, and using the grids to keep everything in frame. I also synced the movement of the shot with the song .
