TOUCH, ****,
EVERYTHING

The Touch, ****, everything, is a small series that I'm working on which each will focus on something different and explore how I wish to see things and what exactly attracts me. The colors and moods of the video will represent the intentions and make the audience see things differently.

This color pattern idea came from when I was on holiday in Portugal. I was heavily inspired by the album cover "Meeting of the Water" by Animal Collective.

I first tested it on a random photo and experimented with all the settings such as saturation, vibrancy, contrast etc... I put all the settings at 100 to see what it would look like and then i slightly adjusted the image to get that cool effect. What i liked about this cover was the very dark parts and very light parts on the photo. I also really liked the colors and eerie scene of the cover.

Touch, Texture, Everything

This video came to mind as I was walking from my camp to the nearest town in Spain "Lamella Del Mar" during the summer. For some reason, I really enjoyed walking from the camp to the town because it was a way to forget about everything and look at where I was walking. Walking on this road I realized I focused a lot on the textures around it and things that can be found while walking. I decided to record the video as a fun project but to also highlight what I think and what attracts me visually. I thought to include a narrative that doesn't quite make sense but is understandable in an abstract way. The video to me gives a dreamlike perspective or fever dream aesthetic as so many things are going on but it's not connecting. The use of fast-paste cuts makes the video effective as it feels like mind cuts/memory cuts. The fast paste cuts also represent blinking. I was inspired by this concept from the TV show Bojack Horseman because in one of the episodes every long blink changes where he is what he's doing creating a feeling of disorientation. In the video, I keep touching things since the focus point is textures and things that intrigue me. The colors in the videos really make a big impact as it's bright but also dark in some areas. The changes of colors when the camera moves overall make the whole video even more dreamlike and make the textures more intruiguing to look at. It takes the whole concept of dream-like experiences and gives a reason as to why the person in the video is touching all these things and focusing on them. The video was filmed in a first-person perspective to make the audience feel like they are in this situation. The representation of this video represents me because that's what I wish to see and it's what I focus on and gives a bit of insight into what's going on in my mind and how I think and function. The reason there is no music and only the sounds in the video is that it's open to interpretation. The loud breathing lets the audience know how I feel and gives some open interpretation of what I'm thinking.

Touch, Line, Everything

This was my second time filming on purpose to make a video. I was walking around a small town in Lampolla in Catalunia. I was walking around and I realized that I only saw lines. Lines were everywhere, every time I turned a corner I would see lines. Obviously, lines are everywhere but for me, they stood out a lot in this town. I decided to film myself walking around like in the first video, touching everything moving with the lines and making lines the main target. When looking back at the video It's still clear that lines are the main focus of this video. I decided to experiment with different colors and choose what colors look best in each scene and what colors give the most texture or vibrancy.  I really like the shots of the lines because they contrast with everything around them and are a representation of what I see or focus on. The video itself is intended to be random but it is actually not random at all. I chose to include some shots in some parts of the video because it ties in better and makes the video better. The editing was done almost the same as the first video but much shorter because I've realized that long videos that don't have a narrative or anything to focus on don't grab as much attention and can get boring or feel repetitive. So I made this video shorter for my audience.

Animal Collective is a mix of Experimental pop, psychedelia,

electronic,  freak folk, and indie rock band. They have great songs that take a while to appreciate because of their unique sound. They use a lot of natural sounds from nature in their music.
